Dr. Pointer, co-founder of Digestive and Liver Health Specialists, PLLC, is a highly skilled gastroenterologist with expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, women’s digestive health, and various gastrointestinal disorders. A graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine, she completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a gastroenterology fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Committed to academic excellence and community service, Dr. Pointer founded a non-profit to teach piano to underserved youth and actively participates in national gastroenterology organizations. She combines advanced care with dietary guidance and is passionate about advancing diversity and inclusion in medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Pointer enjoys family time, playing piano, running, sewing, and cooking.
